Five steps to roll-out Secure share

Two people shaking hands

When partners in the legal and property industry work together, transactions can be less of a trial. Improving communication and efficiency is better for both you and for your clients. When quick action is needed to get a deal over the line, you can work together to get it done. And there may even be a referral fee in it for you.

Secure share can facilitate client referrals to your partners in the industry by sending completed ID and AML reports securely. Using Secure share, you can streamline the referral process for your clients by eliminating the need for duplicate ID and AML checks. Making it more appealing for your clients to work with firms that you have a working relationship with.

To help you get started we’ve put together this guide. To find out more about how Secure share works visit our help centre.

  1. Share your list of industry partners that you refer clients to, or receive referrals from, with your Thirdfort Account Manager

Our team can identify who on the list are Thirdfort clients, so you can start sharing immediately.

  2. Contact your industry partners

We've prepared some text for you to include in your email to your industry partners, in the grey box below.

  3. Get in touch with the team for training

Contact your Account Manager who can help point you towards the best resources and training on using Secure share.

  4. Let your clients know and get their consent

You may want to update your client care information to include this information. Explain to clients that this means they won’t need to repeat checks over and over. For example, you could say,

"As part of due diligence, we are legally required to check our client's details and identity. To complete these checks, we use Thirdfort. Thirdfort allows you to verify your identity and the Source of your funds, remotely, quickly and safely. Historically during the property transaction process, you will be asked to complete this type of verification multiple times, which can be repetitive and time-consuming. If you agree, we can share completed ID and AML reports with your chosen conveyancer. This means you will not need to repeat the same checks multiple times. You can find Thirdfort’s Privacy Agreement at https://www.thirdfort.com/privacy/.

  5. Inform your team that they can share completed reports using Secure share

If you have an internal training document we recommend updating this. Our help centre has a useful article which explains how to use Secure share.
You can also download and share our overview which explains how Secure share works in more detail.
