They hold data provided from countless global sources with varying degrees of accuracy and public access. We have developed our own tolerances and limits in house to measure accuracy so as to account for these variances. Some of the sources used for address matching via Experian are:

Risk warning checks in partnership with multiple providers
An additional service where we work with Experian, among other providers, is to flag any potential risk warnings relating to a client. In general, these risk flags are not that common and in some cases they might be false positives. However, it is important that all are flagged since many of them are higher risk. The sources checked for this include:
Mortality - CAIS, Millennium, GRO and Experian Historic mortality files.
Mail drop & non-residential address - Experian database.
Current residential address - Experian database.
Developed false identity - Experian database.
Fraud alert - Experian database.
Postal Redirect address - Royal Mail NCOA alert file.
Significant data inconsistencies - Experian database.
Date of birth check - Experian database.
